Cravings (Review)

Author: Chrissy Teigen
Genre: Cookbook
My Rating: 8/10

Cravings by Chrissy Teigen is a cookbook that includes all recipes that you want to eat RIGHT now!!
The pictures of the food are beautiful and there is one for just about every single recipe. I have like 20 recipes already marked down as ones that I want to try.
The only reason that I don't give it a perfect marking, is the pictures of author and her husband that were dispersed throughout were (in my mind) unnecessary and for some may be offensive. I was originally going to go out and get this cookbook for one of my young friends (quite young preteen) who is just starting out cooking but when I saw the pictures I knew that her parents would not really appreciate it. I just thought that it was extremely unnecessary in a COOKBOOK!!
Overall if you are looking for a cookbook that has all the general things that you want to eat with a good variety of culture in it, this is the book for you.

Beneath the hills of a primeval city a vanquished enemy is gathering power. As this new threat arises, can Hyam summon his true heritage and overcome evil?

When Hyam reluctantly returned to Long Hall, he never imagined how his life would change. Latent powers were honed, chance encounters brought new wisdom, and even love found a way into his heart. With his wife, Joelle, he now makes a home in Falmouth Port.
Hyam is slowly recovering form his battle when a mysterious shipment of Milantian scrolls arrives. Soon He is haunted be dreams of mythic beasts and coming conflicts. When Joelle falls under a sorcerer's spell, he must venture through the desolate lands to save her--and his community.
One particular scroll seems to hold the promise of new powers, but it also carries a hidden waring an about unfathomable threat. As Hyam sets out on another journey, he is keenly aware that he must rely on all his abilities-- and his forbidden past--to succeed. His quest could bring deliverance...or devastation.

My thoughts:

I really enjoyed this book. It has an amazing compelling cover that is so eye catching, and in it an amazing fantasy world is created , that is easy to follow and shouts magic loud and clear.

It took me a little but to really get into the story but after that initial slowness, it was page turn after page turn.
Hyam is a strong and tough individual who is called to fight countless beasts of magic and I found him to be over all just a really interesting and maybe sometimes mysterious character that was really fun to read.

The fantasy element and the magic was soooo cool and was woven into the story in such a way that it seemed to happen without you knowing it.  It is the timeless story of good versus evil yet written with a twist.

I highly recommend this book to all of those fantasy lovers out there, you cant go wrong with picking this one up.

Always Watching (Review)

Author: Lynette Eason
Genre: Suspense, Romance, Action
My Rating: 9.5/10
Revell

When it becomes clear that popular psychiatrist and radio personality Wade Savage has a stalker, his father secretly hires Elite Guardians to protect his son. But when Wade's bodyguard is attacked and nearly killed, agency owner Olivia Edwards must step in and fill the gap.

Olivia's skills are about to be tested to the limit as Wade's stalker moves from leaving innocent gifts at his door to threatening those closest to him---including Olivia. But in her mind, even more dangerous than the threat to her life is the hold her handsome client has on her heart.

My thoughts:

I can honestly say that Always Watching the best suspense book I have read in a very long time. It is such a different suspense as it does not have the FBI instead Lynette Eason has established a new team called the Elite Guardians. And I am most defiantly excited to be reading more in this series. It is fast paced and kept me turning page like crazy.

Olivia Edwards is a a great character and she has her world of pain of secrets that Lynette Eason weaves into the story. I did like the fact that she was the on saving people instead of the one being saved.

Wade Savage was great. He was not the usual good-looking/tall/muscled FBI agent that falls in love with someone who need saving. Instead he was just a character was living a pretty normal life and that made it seem more relatable and eye catching.

The only section in the book that did not grip me was the ending, in reality no suspense book I have ever read has a good enough ending because we have been building up to it for hundreds of pages and we form unrealistic exception to what it should be. I thought the end in this book seemed a tiny but rushed, but that was all that I could pick out as something that I did not like.

Overall this is an amazing book,  I loved it and I highly highly recommend it to al of you who love romantic suspense.

The Indian Family Kitchen Cookbook (Review)

Author: Anjali Pathak
Genre: Cooking
My Rating: 10/10
Blogging for Books

The Indian Family Kitchen Cookbook is my favorite cookbook up to date, I went over it and then went back and marked over 20 recipes that ! want to make RIGHT NOW. It is a beautiful thick hardback recipes book that is full of ridiculously amazing looking recipes and the personality that Anjali Pathak put into it is simply heart warming.
It has sections between some recipes that tell her must have species, her favorite kitchen utensils, fridge favorites, and more, that just make you feel like she truly does want to share her cooking secrets with you. On nearly every recipe she has a "My Secret" note that shares these awesome tips that she has learned over the years and as if that is not enough she has a couple pages of personal pictures and family history that just seals it all off as a truly personal recipe book that is sooooo wonderful to read through.
The pictures are stunning and there is a picture for nearly every recipe.

Im summary this cookbook is a must have for all of you who love cooking with bold flavors and integrating cultures into your meals.
