When Bailey Adams left Logan Point two year ago for Mexico, she thought she was getting away from her problems. Running into her ex-fiancé Danny Maxwell was not part of the plan- neither was being chased thought the city by the local drug cartel, the Calatrava. Now despite her best efforts, Danny is her only chance at escaping the people chasing her and getting back to Logan Point safely. Can Bailey find the strength to face whats coming? And in the midst of all the chaos, can she keep her self from falling in love with her rescuer all over agin?

My thoughts:

I cracked the covers of this book with no preconceived ideas whatsoever, as I had never read one of Patricia Bradley's books before. The beginning of this book was crazy and it just jumped right into the action and introduction of all the characters. But I felt that as the story progressed it lacked a little bit of the nail-bitting action, and it just did not grip me that way that other suspense book have made me feel. I did like the characters and the fact that there were 2 love stories running on the thread of the plot. But the romance between Danny and Bailey was not the most gripping romance and I felt like it was just a side dish to the action and mystery of the plot. But other than that I did over all enjoy it and the cover is very cool :)

Simply Calligraphy is a simple little guide to a beginner who is thinking about getting into calligraphy and is very detailed in its description to each stoke of a letter that you want to create. It is broken up into easy and efficient sections that make the use of this book very easy and simple. 
I liked this book because of its approach to calligraphy and it started at the VERY beginning. But I did feel like the first half o the boo was more 'cursive' than the elegant writing we think of when we think of 'calligraphy'. But maybe that was just because of the books being targeted solely to beginners. 
If you are a beginner and you want to start learning  calligraphy I definitely recommend this book.
